Our main verse is verse 21 which states, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Agenda Each student is required to record daily assignments in the agenda. Not only does it serve as an excellent tool to promote responsibility, but also I will randomly comment in the agenda as a home/school communication tool. Attendance One of the most important elements of your child’s education is the regular presence in the classroom. Our day begins promptly at 8:10. If students are absent, they need to bring in a note upon returning explaining the absence. Please refer to your handbook for more information. Weekly Newsletter I will weekly (possibly even daily) blog about our classroom and what we have done. Please visit my blog at kaybeal.weebly.com. I will also periodically take pictures of kids working in class and post them as well. In regards to grades, I will contact parents through Engrade with concerns and comments. Online Information Grades are available online at www.engrade.com. In the first week of school, your child will be given access to this account. Students as well as parents are able to create individual accounts. If you have any trouble logging on, please let me know. This is a great communication tool as well as a gradebook. Tutoring Tutoring will be available from 3:15-4:15. Your child will need to make arrangements for this prior to attending. I will notify students what days I may be unavailable due to appointments.

Homework Policy Homework is assigned only when necessary and should not exceed 30 minutes an evening per subject. Late work will not be tolerated. Each student will be allowed one late assignment per class each quarter. The student will have an extra day to complete the work for a grade deduction of 50%. Other late work that quarter will result in a zero for that assignment.
