Habitat The Olive Ridley turtle lives in bays and estuaries in Central America and east and west of Africa.

Identification Head is small. The size of an adult is 2 to 2.5 feet. Adults weigh up to 100 pounds. It has 1 or 2 visible claws.

Food Olive Ridley turtles eat shrimp, crabs, sea urchins, jellyfish and gastropods or snails. They also eat algae and sea grass.

Threats The Olive Ridley nest is threatened because people could step on it.

Reproduction It lays its eggs in one clutch. It takes 58 days to hatch.
