1 Do you apply the “sandwich technique”? Do you balance facts and your own analysis? In America, students have the opportunity to take programs that suite their level. Arubans have the same opportunity: they have program that “Include vocational training (LTO), basic education (MAVO), college prep (HAVO) and advanced placement (VWO)” (“Education” 1). They have many choices so that a student can get educated to best fit their motivation and goals.

This is possible because “The money earmarked for education is higher than the average Caribbean/ Latin American region”(“Aruba” 2). Also, just like in America there are private schools parents and their children can chose to attend, but these require tuition just as American schools do.

If Braille is too time consuming for a blind person, there are also other ways they can read: “Learning to use computers equipped with software that simulates a human voice reading the screen can also open up the world of literacy for someone with a visual impairment” (“Reading and Writing” 1). Because equipment and tools are available for people who are blind, they too can communicate just like those with sight.

In American, there are two thousand six hundred eighteen accredited four-year colleges and universities (Steinbach 1). In Aruba there are less than ten universities, but many programs of study are offered so that an Aruban can become almost whatever he puts his/her mind to. All of that shows that Aruba is more than just a destination; it is a place that provides a very good education for those who seek it.
