Background  The infrastructure management is structured as follows a) Road Agency Limpopo ( RAL )  RAL constructs road and bridges and also perform the rehabilitative maintenance  Infrastructure Grant is allocated in full to the RAL b) Department’s team  The Department performs the routine maintenance such as bush clearing, pothole patching, grass cutting, re- graveling, etc

Roads infrastructure  Limpopo Province road network is approximately 23 087KM  7348 km are paved which represent 32% of total road network  68% of our roads are gravel roads  Floods that occurred since December 2005 caused damages as follows 1548 km paved roads and 1405.58 gravel roads  This reduces paved roads to 5800km which is 25% of total road network
