Elements, Compounds, Mixtures Lab At each station you will find a petri dish containing a model of an element, compound, or mixture using nuts, bolts, and washers. Imagine that the nuts, bolts, and washers represent different types of atoms. On your data sheet, draw what you observe, then indicate whether the combination of items represents an element, a compound, or a mixture.
