Works Cited New page – after the last page of your paper Same header/continue with page #s Title: Works Cited (centered at top of page) Double space all entries Do not skip spaces between entries Indent the second line of citation (and all lines that follow)

All entries need to be in alphabetical order by author name If an article does not have an author, use title Use italics for titles of longer works & “” for shorter works Capitalize all major words in titles

Source information must be included in (parentheses) after a quotation or paraphrase Most citations will be the author’s last name and page # - (Cummings 27) **If your article does not have an author, use the first word that appears alphabetically in your works cited page (title)

There are three ways to format in-text citations (depending on how you word your information) – For example: Wordsworth stated that Romantic poetry was marked by a “spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings” (263). Romantic poetry is characterized by the “spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings” (Wordsworth 263). Wordsworth extensively explored the role of emotion in the creative process (263).
