2 But Paul was an apostle… 2 Timothy 2:17 -18 ”… and their word will eat as doth a gangrene: of whom is Hymenaeus an Philetus; men who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already, and overthrow the faith of some.”

To the weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak: I am become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.”
