Mission & Vision The mission of the Washoe County Food Policy Council is to support a vibrant, healthy and equitable local food system for Washoe County, Nevada. Our Vision: Washoe County has a healthy local food system nourishing our community.

Food Security Household Food Security – access to enough food for an active, healthy life Community Food Security is a condition in which all community residents obtain a: safe, culturally acceptable, nutritionally adequate diet through a sustainable food system that maximizes community self-reliance and social justice
