vs 1-14 grace and sin doesn’t grace encourage sin? (vs 1) by no means! (vs 2a) don’t you know? (vs 3a) identification with christ: – in his death (baptism) (vs 3-4a, 5-7) – in his resurrection (vs 4b, 8-10)

vs 1-14 grace and sin if we are in christ – don’t let sin reign (vs 12-13a) – offer yourselves to god as an instrument of righteousness (vs 13b) sin shall not be your master because you are under grace not law (vs 14)

vs 15-23 - gotta serve somebody doesn’t grace encourage sin? (vs 15) by no means! (vs 15) don’t you know? (vs 16a) voluntary slavery – to sin which leads to death (vs 16) – to obedience, which leads to righteousness (vs 16)
