3
Pure science is science that we don’t need. It is science that where its things that we want to know not that we need to know. Ex : how fast can we make a car go? How big can we make this candy? Ferrari Enzo Worlds largest candy bar
4
Applied science is science that we do for our personal need. Applied science is so it can benefit us in a way. Ex: making cars that is healthier for the environment. Eco car
5
A conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning. It helps reach your conclusion and defy it.
6
Iv is the independent variable which is the thing you change in an experiment. The dv is the dependent variable which is the result of the iv. Cv is the constant variable which is what stays the same through out the whole experiment.
7
An observation is something that you would notice in an environment. For example saying that you notice that the sky is blue.
8
The conclusion is the part at the end of an experiment. Its the summary of the experiment. The conclusion tells you if your hypothesis was right or wrong.
9
A bar and line graph are used to calculate and show the results in an experiment. Lines graphs are the ones mainly used because you use them whenever there's time involved.
10
Qualitative is a statement that does not involve numbers. Quantitative is a statement that does involve numbers.
11
The mean is when all the numbers are added then divided by how many numbers there were. The median is simply the middle number of the list The mode is the number that comes most often
12
A hypothesis is an educated guess that is used in an experiment. A theory is a proven hypothesis that has been tested many times.
13
The control group is the group that does nothing in an experiment. The experimental is the one that changes for the experiment.
