What is the Japanese Language (and Culture) Club? A club for people with an interest in: Japanese Language Japanese Culture Japan in General

What sort of things will we do in the club? We form and develop an understanding of Japanese Language and culture. What we do specifically is up for discussion. On Tuesdays we study Japanese Language. On Thursdays we look at and develop an understanding of Japanese Culture.

Why would I want to learn Japanese? Japanese is a great language for global business. You will learn about a culture completely different from your own. Learning Japanese is incredibly fun.

Does the club have any rules? YES (1) In order to take part in 'Culture on a Thursday: You MUST attend 'Language' on a Tuesday. (2) NO foul language (In English or Japanese). (3) NO running riot in the classroom. (4) Three strikes and your OUT.

Today we are going to look at Japanese Numbers Japanese numbers are extremely easy to remember. Unlike English/Spanish the numbers are simple compound numbers. Imagine in English that our numbers looked like this: 54 = Five x Ten + Four 27 = Two x Ten + Seven
