2 Aquatic Center (Douglasville, Ga) Look at the building on the right. Identify 3 polygons either regular or irregular. How were these shapes used in the creation of this building? How many quadrilaterals can you find in this building? How may irregular polygons do you see? Is there a hexagon on the building.

3 Club House (Aneewakee Trails Subdivision Douglasville, GA) Look at the picture on the right. Identify where a right triangle, obtuse triangle, and an acute triangle can be found. How did you determine which triangle was which with out measuring them? If I add the blue line to the bottom of the structure what polygon would be formed? How many vertices would the shape have? How many angles would the shape have? Would the shape inside the yellow box in the front of the building be considered a polygon?

4 Capital building (Greenville, SC) Look at the picture on the right. Is the shape in the pink circle a polygon? How can you determine this? If the edges of the shape in the pink circle were straight what polygon would form? Would the new polygon be a quadrilateral? Are their other quadrilaterals in the picture? Is their a trapezoid in the picture? If so where? Photograph taken by Andrea D. Smith permission was granted to use this picture.
