7. Think-Pair-Share  Students are given a problem individually. Students determine an answer and pair up with another student to discuss it, then they share their answer with the class.

8. Match Mine  In pairs, students give directions to each other in order to match game boards.  Divide into pairs using folded lines

9. Pass a problem/ Rally Table  In teams of 4, students are given a problem to answer. Each student may only do one part of the problem, then must pass it to the next person in the group…this continues until the problem has a final answer.

10. Fan-n-Pick  Card game where questions are written on cards and answered by the team.  Roles: fan cards, picks and reads, answers, tutors/praises

11. Mix-pair-share  Students form pairs when the teacher says to. Once pairs are form, a question is given. Students discuss the answer, then move to another pair.

12. Decision Time  The class moves to the front of the room, where a line has been drawn on the floor. The teacher poses questions and then the student must move to one side of the line or the other.

13. Inside Outside Circle  Students form 2 circles each facing the other. Students ask questions to the partner they are facing. The outside circle then moves one student to the right, and begins again.
