Strategic intervention: new sector initiative „persons with disabilities“ Sector initiative commissioned by BMZ, implemented by GTZ Overall aim: improving the inclusion of persons with disabilities in strategies and concepts of German Development Cooperation – in order to implement Article 32 of the UN Convention Strategic components: Policy advice and consultancy Capacity development (orientation and training) Development of methodologies and knowledge management Financial add-on support to local institutions for the implementation of studies, events and lobby activities Duration and financial investment: 3 years (2009-2012); € 1 Million Team: 2+1 (Ingar Düring, Dominic Fritz, Rika Esser from CBM)
