2. EARLY LIFE On October 28, 1955, William Henry Gates II and Mary Gates gave birth to William Henry Gates III in Seattle, Washington. William Gates II was a lawyer and Mary Gates was a teacher until Bill was born. Bill Gates has two sisters, Kristianne and Libby Gates. At the age of 13, he was enrolled in Lakeside School, there he became very interested with computers and their potential. He designed programs with Paul Allen, who would eventually become the co-founder of Microsoft.

3. EARLY LIFE At the age of 15, Gates and Allen created the program “Traf-o-data” for a Seattle Company and for that they were paid $20,000. After scoring a 1590 out of 1600 on the SAT, Bill Gates enrolled at Harvard, because his parents wanted him to finish school and become a lawyer instead of working with computers. Gates left Harvard to form Micro-Soft with Paul Allen in 1975.

4. PERSONAL LIFE In 1994, Bill Gates married Melinda French and they now have 3 children, Jennifer, 15, Phoebe, 7, and Rory, 12. He plans to give his children a small amount of his fortune and give the rest to charity. He resides in Seattle, Washington.
