3.  Print a copy of the syllabus outcomes for a chapter and tick the outcomes as you complete.  Ask your teacher for syllabus outcomes and paste on the first page of your notes on the unit.  Example on next slide

4.  In this chapter you will learn how to:  Identify the different types of sampling and use random numbers to select a sample from a population.  Use counting techniques to list and count all possible samples ( of all sizes) that can be selected from a population of size up to 5  Compare sample means and the means of all sample means with the population mean.  Use the capture-recapture technique to estimate the size of a population from taking a sample  Recognise the normal distribution and its properties, including the 68%-95%-99.7% limits  Calculate and compare Z-scores

6.  Failure to hand in the assessment task will result in students being awarded n- determination award.  When a student has been awarded N award, he will be given a ZERO for the assessment task but still required to complete the assessment task in order to complete HSC  Lets us look at a sample of n-award
