5. Titanium is a transition metal. It has high strength, low density & good resistance to corrosion.

6. Titanium & its alloys have proven to be technically superior & cost-effective materials of construction for a wide variety of aerospace, industrial, marine & commercial applications. In north America approximately 70% of the titanium consumed is utilised for aerospace applications. Due to the expansion of existing applications and the development of new uses, the great growth occur in the industrial, marine and commercial sectors.
