Using NoodleTools

What is NoodleTools? NoodleTools is a quick and easy way to make a works cited page of your sources for your researched speech. Any ideas that aren’t your own need to be documented.

First thing’s first. You need your sources. You need to know about your sources: –Author’s first & last name –Title of Article –URL –Dates –Etc. As you fill out NoddleTools you’ll realize what information you need.

Where do I find Noodletools? On the LHS Media Center Website. Click on “Online Databases”.

This page should come up: Click: “Current User Sign In”

Click on “Create a Personal ID”.

Make your “Personal ID” your ID# and your “password” a word# (shanty9). This is what you use to login to a school computer. You need the last 4 digits of your phone number in case you forget. It will ask for an ID & password.

Once logged in, click on “Create a New List”. Click

Choose which MLA, title your list, then click “Start Adding Citations”. 3. Click 2. Add title. MLA Advanced has a lot of details. MLA Starter has the basics & is easiest. APA is used for scientific sources. 1.Use MLA Starter

Print or Online: Book, Magazine, Newspaper, Journal, Reference Only Online: E-Mail, Website Audiovisual Other Choose the type of source you are using. Then hit “Create Citation”.

Keep on going. Follow the rest of the prompts until you’re done. Click on the button “Generate Citation”. Click

You will generate a list of your sources. You can go back and edit them if you need to.

Once you are done: Print out a hard copy of your works cited. Make sure you write your name on the paper. Log out
