2. St. Hilary School Technology CommitteeThe St. Hilary School Technology Committee is hosting this ‘Boot Camp’ for parishioners and SHS students with the purpose of developing and strengthening technology skills.

3. The camp was held from July 12 th to July 16 th and was attended by over 20 parishioners and students. A variety of technology related topics were discussed and worked on. Check the following slides to see the ‘campers’ hard at work with help from several SHS students!

5. The Internet One topic covered was how to access the internet and browse the World Wide Web.

6. Email A highly requested topic was email. The camp covered the following aspects of email: –How to create an account –How to send/receive/delete messages –How to stop SPAM and JUNK mail –How to organize your email account

7. An interesting topic was alternatives to using a mouse. Student Joe Looby demonstrates using a laptop touch pad with a parishioner. No Mouse?

8. Desktop Publishing One more practical topic was using your computer to create flyers and handouts. Pictured to the right, Joe Sestito explains how to create a PDF file.
