2 MAPS What is a map? A map is a flat representation of the earth that can show you cities, countries, states, and world trade marks.

3 GLOBES A globe is a sphere model of the earth that can show you cities, countries, states, and world trade marks just like maps.

4 MAP vs. GLOBE Both maps and globes are the same because they both show the earth and cities, countries, states, and world trade marks on earth.

5  Maps- A diagrammatic representation of an area of land or sea showing physical features, cities, roads, etc.  Globes- A spherical representation of the earth or of the constellations with a map on the surface
