1. Hymn 85 Wisdom Begins With the Fear of the Lord

2. Verse 1 Praise you the Lord, with your whole heart give praise,

3. Where the upright are assembled for God; His glorious works shall for-ev-er en-dure,

4. Worthy of honor and praise.

5. There is no end un-to His righteousness. Great works of wonder He makes,

6. That we may know the Eternal is good, Full of com-pas-sion and grace.

7. Verse 2 For those who fear Him our God will provide; Ever His cov-’nant He will not forget;

8. He showed His peo-ple the pow’r of His works,

9. Lands of the heathen to gain.

10. Judgment and truth are the works of His hands; all His com-mand-ments are sure;

11. They are all done in uprightness and truth; They shall forever endure.

12. Last Verse Unto His people redemption He sent; God has commanded His cov’nant al-way;

13. Steadfast and sure it forever will stand,

14. Holy and rev’rend His name.

15. Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord: God’s praise en-dur-eth for aye;

16. His laws im-part un-der-stand-ing and grace To those who heed and obey.
