2. WHAT IS ADVENT? Advent is the time of year that Christians celebrate the arrival of Jesus.

3. THE CANDLES Christians light five candles to celebrate advent. Four of these candles represent the four Sundays of advent. The fifth candle represents the birth of Jesus.

4. WHAT DO THE CANDLES REPRESENT? The four candles of the advent wreath ( not including the fifth candle) all represent different things the candles are: The Candle Of Hope, The Candle Of Joy, The Candle Of Peace and The Candle Of Love.

5. HOW LONG DOES THE ADVENT CELEBRATION LAST? The advent celebration lasts for 24 days. On the last day of advent Christians go to church and sing carols.

6. THINK ABOUT JESUS! Next time you open your advent calendar door think about how important the birth of Jesus was.
