4 Luke 1: 30-31 said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary;
30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.”

5 Like Mary, Joseph is instructed to name
In Matthew 1: 20-25, we read about a second angel encounter with this engaged couple…this time with Mary’s very confused fiancée, Joseph. Like Mary, Joseph is instructed to name the baby Jesus... but is also told “why.”

6 Luke 2: 10-11 10 But the angel said to [the shepherds],
“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the LORD.”

7 Bob the Builder Jesus the Christ * Bob is his name
* Builder is his job Jesus the Christ * Jesus is His name * Christ is His job

8 1 Timothy 1:15 Luke 19: 9-10 “Christ Jesus came into the world
to save sinners” Luke 19: 9-10 9 Jesus said to [Zacchaeus],  “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

10 John 4:42 They said to the [Samaritan] woman,
“We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

11 We have the “witness” of the changed lives throughout history (those recorded in Scripture and those that aren’t) that speak to the saving power of Jesus. What about you? Are you saved “to the uttermost”?

12 “Saved To The Uttermost”
