Defining of Drug Addiction Drug addiction is defined as the continued use of drugs in spite of adverse health or social consequences. Drug addicts have lost control of their drug use. Individuals addicted to drugs often become isolated from family or friends, have difficulty at work or school and become involved in criminal activity. For addicts, continuing their drug habit becomes the most important thing in their life.

The Facts About Drug Addiction Drug addiction is a Complex disease. You can become addicted to Legal drugs, OTC Drugs or Illegal drugs. If you are addicted to a drugs you have uncontrollable cravings to consume them. Criminal behavior can develop. ADDICITION CAN LEAD TO MENTAL DISORDERS.

Increased Use – taking increasing quantities of the drug Preoccupation – constant concern with the supply of the drug Dependency – can’t live without the drug Withdrawal – physical and or mental effects of not taking the drug
