English III—September 11, 2015 Daily Warm-up: If you were accused of witchcraft during the Salem Witch Trials, what would be your transgression? – For example: I would probably be accused of killing my neighbor’s cat (I hate cats, and I say “I hate cat’s” a lot). Homework: – Reading Plus due Sunday at 11:59. – Study for Lesson 5 Quiz on Friday.

Belittle- v.- make (someone or something) seem unimportant. Disparage -v.- regard or represent as being of little worth. Emphatic- adj.- showing or giving emphasis; expressing something forcibly and clearly.

Onslaught -n.- a fierce or destructive attack. Subjugation- n.- bringing under control; enslavement Usurpation- n.- taking someone's power or property by force.

Today Take notes on the Salem Witch Trials video. At least 15-20 interesting facts. Finish Act 2 questions after the video.
