5
Two different approaches 1.One-off sale of single tickets for a future draw 2.Asking people to sign up as Non-cash paying Lottery members
6
One-off tickets Sold in advance for future draws Normally allow 4-6 weeks for shops to sell tickets 100-250 tickets sold in the better shops Dependant on individual Managers and Volunteers Prizes for the top sellers, feedback results at Managers meetings
7
Lottery sign-ups Managers and volunteers canvass customers to become new members We pay £6 commission for every member signed up Incentive for the Manager to increase their earnings Managers must buy into the scheme to sell it
10
In-shop Promotion Applications are clearly visible and available Staff are fully briefed on all aspects of the Lottery – know what they’re selling Staff use different techniques i.e. asking, bag stuffing etc. Advertise the lottery in the shop!
15
Has it helped? On average 4-5 new members per shop per week That’s 40-50 new members per week The good news….. Not everyone claims their commission!
16
