Learning Goals We are learning about the particles that make up everything around us.

Matter Anything that takes up space and has a mass. Examples: Me, Desk, Air, Apple…everything is made up of matter.

All matter is made up of tiny particles called atoms. Different kinds of matter are made up of different kinds of atoms.

Other States of Matter 4 th State of Matter= PLASMA A gas that is electricaly charged. Found in stars and neon signs. The northern lights are an example of plasma in nature. Bose-Einstein Condensate When particles are cooled to absolute zero (-273 0 C)
