2 Lesson Objective Content Area: Science Grade Level: 3
Summary: The purpose of this instructional PowerPoint is to educate students on the planet Earth and its major landforms and bodies of water. Learning Objective: Providing each student with grade level textbooks to reference chapter 5, along with magazines and other Earth reading materials, students will have the task of identifying each landform and location presented in the power point with 100% accuracy. Content Standard: GLE Use information and illustrations to identify the earth’s major landforms and water bodies. Accomplishment: Students will acquire the ability to view and analyze specific bodies of water and landforms to accurately distinguish between the different forms and types. Each student will recognize the unique make-up of each and create a bubble map that indicates specific components of each. SPI Classify landforms and bodies of water according to their geological features and identify them on a map.

3 Bodies of Water This website provides detailed information and color pictures of major bodies of water found on Earth: world landforms Over 75% of the Earth’s surface is covered in water which includes oceans, rivers, and lakes Each of these water areas work together to supply many natural resources to specific areas around the world
