Homophony Here the melody and chords move more or less at the same time.

Hetrophonic In hetrophonic music there is one tune played by all the instruments BUT with variation.

Other ways of varying texture 1. Solo - one voice or instrument on its own 2. Duet - 2 part piece 3. Trio - 3 part piece 4. Quartet - 4 part piece 5.
