Sub-seasonal to Seasonal Prediction Project July 2012: WMO 64th session of Executive Council approved the project with establishment of a trust fund and international coordination office (ICO) August 2012: Trust fund established November 2012: Letters sent to PRs on trust fund and ICO #: Letter of Intent from Republic of Korea and Bhutan #: Bhutan withdrew #: Detailed In-kind contribution requested by WMO #: SG approved the ICO at NIMR, Jeju, Korea

High-impact Weather Prediction Project October 2012: THORPEX ICSC-10 requested to seek the third THORPEX legacy project on high-impact weather forecast to fill the gap among other two projects March 2013: High-impact Weather Workshop in Karlsruhe, Germany to discuss the science objectives of the project April 2013: Task Force of the project established to prepare the implementation plan, chaired by Dr Sarah Jones with Dr Brian Golding, WMO consultant July 2013: Draft IP will be presented at ICSC-11
