Federal regulations allow imported materials to contain 50 ppm PCB’s (0.00005) Concentrations in IEP’s effluent are over 20 million times lower than the Federal allowance (0.000000000002) WQ Regulations propose limits nearly 14 billion times lower than the Federal allowance (0.000000000000003) No technology available to remove PCB’s to this level Elimination of recycling is currently the most likely option Is this a realistic and necessary outcome?
