Coral reefs are made of tiny animals called coral polyps

You can find coral reefs at the east of Africa, off the southern cost of India, in the Red Sea, and off the coast of north east and north west Australia. Coral reefs develop in shallow water between 70 and 80 degrees.

Fringing reefs are reefs that form along the coast line. Barrier reefs grow parallel to shore lines

The largest Coral Reef in the world The great Barrier Reef (off the coast of NE Australia) is the largest Coral Reef in the world. It is over 1,257 miles. (2000 km) long

This a nudibranch. They only live on the bottom of the ocean. They eat plankton. Some nudibranches are so small you can’t see them.

Clown fish live in here to protect themselves from sharks or fish that eat them. This home stings animals that try to eat it.But the clown fish have mucus that helps them not get electrocuted.

This is a grouper. It eats crabs and small sharks. Grouper fish live up to 35 years old.
