2. 2 Visual ProgrammingChapter 6 Select Project -> Component

3. 3 Select Microsoft ADO Data Control 6.0 (OLEDB). Then click command button Apply and OK.

4. 4 The Adodc control/object will appear at the ToolBox

5. 5 Select the Adodc. Then draw the object on the form. Change the Property Name to adoPatient. Change Property Caption to Patient Record

6. 6 Select the ConnectionString and Property Pages will appear.

7. 7 Select Use Connection String and click command button Build. The Data Link Properties will appear. Then select Microsoft OLE DB Provider For SQL Server.

8. 8 Select or enter Server name then Select the Database on the server

9. 9 Select the RecordSource – Patient

10. 10 Select Data Source – adoPatient Then Select Data Field – Patient ID. Repeat the same process for the other fields – IC Number, Address and Tel No.
