10. Clearly God’s expectation is that we would all grow to the level of maturity. His desire is that we never stop growing in our relationship with Him.

12. 1 Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God

13. Growing up in God’s Family 2 of instruction about washings and laying on of hands, and the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment. 3 And this we will do, if God permits.

14. Growing up in God’s Family The writer urged these followers to press on to maturity. They were to move beyond the basic knowledge of the faith. This goal of maturity was a result of their choice to press on (vs.1) and God’s causing the growth (vs. 3)

21. Growing up in God’s Family Last week we considered childish things like willful defiance, superficial commitments, making idols of people or ways of worshipping and serving, and being easily swayed away from truth.
