2. What we do in GCSE Textiles… YEAR 10: To knit or knot to knit Create a placement print on a child’s t-shirt or romper. Along side this you will looking at industrial practises, manufacturing and construction of knitted garments Tote Bag Go crazy with decorative techniques and experiment your heart out! Along side this you will be doing a half coursework project of Research, Designing and Developments! Production Line As a class you replicate a production line, producing garments for the school production. Along side this project we will be looking at industrial practises, manufacturing and construction. Technical Notebook Throughout the year, learn lots new construction and decorative techniques by creating samples and writing your own instructions. You will then keep this folder as a reference!

4. Textiles GCSE Coursework and exam What we do in GCSE YEAR 11: The Coursework: The coursework is 60% of your overall GCSE. It consists of 20 A3 design sheets and a final made product. You can choose from 12 different design briefs for your final project. You have (roughly) 1 year to complete this project. The Exam: The exam is 40% of your overall GCSE. The exam is a written exam.
