20 th November 2009 Vision The coaching offerings of the Trust are recognised within the community as having a significant impact amongst schools, non-profit organisations, young people, and those people groups that would not normally have gained access to such assistance. Working primarily with schools, the Trust has aided them to function more effectively, and extended the curriculum to include education on coaching to the students. The school staff are being taught the basics of coaching skills using material developed by the Trust, and delivered by trainers supplied by the Trust. The staff have the opportunity to receive coaching at no cost, and many take up the offer. The result is that there are fewer conflicts, internally and with parents, staff that are better able to give feedback, encouraging and critical, and staff that are more effective and fulfilled. During their time at school students have developed the behaviours associated with being able to have coach like interactions. The combination of formal education developed by the Trust, exposure to role models, and the ability to engage in activities where they get to practise being coach like, has resulted in them ending their time in school better equipped to interact with others. Those going onto future leadership or management positions find they have been exposed to the skills that allow them to get the best out of people. In addition to schools the Trust is also working with community agencies, either providing coaching to their staff or individuals that they have referred for coaching. To support these activities, the Trust has a pool of coaches and trainers. All coaches used by the trust are either credentialed, or working towards being credentialed. In the latter case these coaches are supervised. Where necessary the Trust has supported credentialing through the provision of grants, and these coaches have paid the Trust back by providing an agreed amount of coaching hours.
