16. Before-Reading WHY are students reading this passage( 本文 )? What is the purpose? Can be short (2-3 minutes)

17. Skits (ALTs can write or it can be a conversation). Introduction using easy English phrases and picture cards. Stories related to reading. Ask some easy questions (in English) related to the reading theme.

18. After-Reading How do we check understanding? How do we make the reading meaningful? JTEs and ALTs usually skip this or forget.
