PROPOSED ENHANCEMENT TO SSOS Support is customized to address specific needs of schools and districts and is organized within three levels of support: 1. Intensive Support and Intervention through facilitated data- based priority alignment, instructional modeling and coaching to support student growth and achievement. 2. Moderate Support and Intervention through collaborative leadership coaching to support effective decision making. 3. Independent with General Support through consultative dialogue with agency staff.

PROPOSED ENHANCEMENT TO SSOS Measurable goals and objectives for schools/districts receiving assistance: An increase in the percentage of targets met for the Annual Measurable Objectives (AMOs) An increase in the percentage of students achieving proficiency on State assessments Progress in making growth Progress in the number and percentage of students successfully graduating from high school

PROPOSED ENHANCEMENT TO SSOS Other support objectives: Assisting the school in making data-driven decisions to improve student achievement Increasing the school’s capacity to achieve student academic growth over time for all student subgroups Enhancing the staff’s knowledge and delivery of best practices Building the skills of teachers and administrators

REGIONAL EDUCATION FACILITATOR UPDATES NC TOY/POY -Regional Teacher of the Year interviews were held at the end of October; school visits for finalists are occurring now. -Regional Principal of the Year interviews will be held December 14-15. North Carolina Teacher Working Conditions Survey -8th iteration of our survey is coming up in the spring. Last year, we had 88.6% of our 105,136 teachers and principals to participate. -Survey kicks off March 1, 2016! Our survey will run March 1st-25th. -We want to surpass the 88.6% participation rate from 2014. -A designated point person in each school will facilitate the process. -Our goal is 100% in 2016!! Help us reach 100%.
