Game Story - Abstract Inspired by our Thirst in Game Design I

Game Story - History Water is the most essential resource. Humans fought for water, and only those who had access to it survived. However, the decreasing levels of water supplies combined with the rise of the Robotic race have led to the eventual extinction of Humans. Fueled by the plentiful supply of oil, machines dominated the world, for a while.

Game Story - Summary After years of prosperity, the golden age has come to an end. Oil resources have become so scarce and robots are competing for them. Only two oil wells remain, and those who control them can survive. Robots must face their destiny as their human ancestors did.

Game Play Look and Feel

Appearance In an industrial, run-down city Structures may include: Oil wells Oil refineries Repair stations Turrets Game characters are mostly robots Very high tech weapons For better appearance may have occasional: Human skeletons next to empty water wells destroyed robots next to oil wells

Player Roles and Actions Single/multi-player double domination game Goal is to control both oil wells Each team must collaborate to achieve goal Player to select a type of robots. Each has unique weapons and abilities Attacker Defender Explorer Others?

Strategies and Motivations After game starts, each team will try to control first well Setup defenses around first well Explore map to find side-goals Improve defenses for base and wells (towers?) Improve attack abilities (speed, bots, etc.) Others? May attack enemy’s base to weaken them Try to take over second well
