11  Provide equitable access to technology for students  Enhance learning experiences (student engagement and inquiry, differentiated instruction, real-world scenarios)  Establish uniform, effective communication between teachers, students and parents  Develop and promote digitally responsible citizens  Extend guided, academic learning beyond the walls of the classroom

12  Use devices as a means of communication and organization for their students.  Meet the individual needs and interests of their students.  Promote 21st Century Learning Outcomes.  Staff will work with students when requiring internet connections outside of the school day.  Respond to student messages in a reasonable time frame, and establish times and days on which electronic communication is acceptable.

13  Students who are a part of the piloting program will...  care for and return assigned devices to cart daily,  utilize 1:1 technology responsibly, as mature digital citizens,  and abide by the rules, expectations and policies as outlined in the student handbook.

17  Staff Evaluation Philosophy  An evaluation tool is an avenue to help our employees grow in their position by providing feedback on their strengths and areas of improvement.  If there are areas of improvement it will provide the supervisor and employee the opportunity to discuss needed supports to help the employee grow.  Evaluation Tool Development  Department leadership teams have reviewed and updated job descriptions for their department.  Based on the updated job descriptions they are helping to develop the tool for their department.  Final review of the tool will be completed by the department directors and district office administrators.  The evaluation tool will go to the Board for information in early summer and be implemented across all support staff areas for the 2016-17 school year.

18  What is an educational foundation?  An educational foundation is a not-for-profit (501c3) organization whose purpose is to support the district’s mission and vision by enhancing the educational opportunities of our students.  What is the benefit of an educational foundation?  Provides a focused board of community members whose purpose is to support the educational programs of the district.  Provides an avenue for individuals and organizations to share resources with our schools.
