3 TERMINAL INTERFACE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL The diagnostic tool can be used to check connections with TIM, PAYware Transact or PAYware Connect, the devices connected to TIM, and also test other functions shipped with TIM. This tool will assist in troubleshooting by helping identify the root of the problem. For Windows Users From your \ \utils directory, double-click the file wndiagnosticutil.bat.

4 AVAILABLE TESTS The Terminal Interface Diagnostic Tool will help you carry out the following diagnostic tests: –Check PAYware Transact Server Connectivity. –Check PAYware Connect Server Connectivity. –Check Omni 7000 Device Connectivity. –Check MX880/MX870/MX860/MX850/MX830/ MX760 Device Connectivity. –Check SC 5000/ VX 810 Device Connectivity. –Check RDM 6000/ 7000 Device Connectivity. –Review BIN Data. –Test Pass-Thru commands to MX devices. 4

5 TESTING PAYWARE TRANSACT CONNECTION 5 The PAYware Transact Server Connection Test screen is the main window of the Terminal Interface Diagnostic Tool:

6 TERMINAL INTERFACE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL Enter the Terminal Interface IP, Terminal Interface Port, User ID, User Pwd, C onnection Timeout, and client ID in their respective boxes, and increase the Timeout (secs) to a value greater than the default the default value of 60. Click on Generate Login Message to generate a Login request transactio n for PAYware Transact. Sample Login Transaction request: USER_ID MANAGER USER CLIENT_USER TARGET CLIENT_USER PASSWORD rita CLIENT_ID 100010001 FUNCTION_TYPE ADMIN COMMAND LOGIN.. ChangetheUSER_ID andPASSWORD, whicharedefaultedas MANAGER and rita (in red), and verify that the other values, such as CLIENT_ID, are correct. 6 Click Test Connection, found at the bottom of the screen, to send the request to PAYware Transact and check the connection. If a connection is successfully established with PAYware Transact, the response message from PAYware Transact will populate the Response Message text area of the PAYware Transact Connection Utility. If there is a problem with the connection, or anything else, the error will be reported by the Utility. This Utility is applicable for the PAYware Transact Pair integration method.

7 CONNECTION TEST To access the PAYware Connect Server Connection Test screen, click Processors (from the menu bar) 7 If a connection is successfully established with PAYware Connect, th e response message from PAYware Connect will populate the Response Message text area of the PAYware Connect Connection Utility. If there is a problem with the connection, or anything else, the error will be reported by the Utility. This Utility is applicable for the PAYware Connect Pair integration method.

8 TESTING MX DEVICES To access the MX8xx Connection Test screen, click Devices (from the menu bar) Æ MX8xx Devices, and then select your MX device. 8

9 The Test can be for: –Get Version – To get version of the MX device –Show Form Test – To show a form on the device –Swipe Data Test – To prompt and get the swipe data from the device –PIN Data Test – To prompt and get the PIN data from the device –Cashback Amount Test – To prompt and get the amount entered from the device –Option Selection Test – To prompt and get the selected option from the device –Signature Capture Test - To prompt and get the BASE64 encoded signature capture from the device Enter the MX Device IP Address and MX Device Port. Choose a test to be performed from the Perform Test For box and click on Test Connection. Be certain that you select the correct Use SSL option. If the TI Diagnostic Tool can communicate with the MX Device, then it gets the response and populates it in the Log text area. The log message will have the result. If the TI Diagnostic Tool cannot communicate with the Device Server, the Utility will report the error. 9

10 TESTING BIN CONFIGURATION If BIN Data has been confi gured, then you can use theTest BIN Configuration panel to browse the data. You can also enter a card number and perform a lookup.To access the BIN Configuration Test screen, click BIN (from the menu bar) 10

11 SYSTEM INFORMATION This panel will display all the configuration data. To access the System Information screen, click Information (from the menu bar) 11

12 TESTING TERMINAL INTERFACE CONNECTION This panel allows you to test the Terminal Interface connection. To access the Test Terminal Interface Connection screen, click Processors (from the menu bar) 12

13 TESTING MX PASS THRU COMMANDS This panel allows you to test the MX pass thru commands To access the Mx Pass Thru Command Connection Test screen, click Processors (from the menu bar)Test Terminal Interface Connection. 13

14 MANUAL ENTRY MODIFIER You can also send a Manual Entry Modifier request to TIM if the MX device does not recognize a bad card swipe. When you send the TI_MODIFIER MANUAL_ENTER along with the request, the devices will prompt the User to manually enter the Card Number, Expiration date and Zip code.
