SUMMARY OF THE BOOK A Wrinkle in Time, written by Madeleine L’Engle, is a book full of mystery and magic. Meg, who is in high school, is very shy and has no friends. Meg is having issues because her father went away on “business” and never came back or wrote back to any letters the family sent him. Her father’s absence has caused problems within the family. Meg has a little brother, Charles Wallace, who is also shy. Surprisingly, we learn Charles Wallace is very intelligent and knows more than most people give him credit for. Later in the story, Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin, a boy Meg befriended in the story, are introduced to Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Which and Mrs. Who. These three characters know quite a bit about Meg’s father and how to find him, but to find her father it takes the three children on a wild adventure where they visit new planets, meet many interesting characters and most important of all they learn how strong the power of love is.

“The foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called, but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are” ~ A Wrinkle in Time
