4. James Watt Alessandro Volta New inventions made life better in the Middle Ages. Thomas Newcomen & James Watt invented the steam engines. Alessandro Volta & Michael Faraday did electrical experiments.

5. The Scientific Revolution changed life by making transportation faster and the way of thinking about science and astronomy. Scientists found out that the planets orbited the sun. Scientists used the scientific method to do new and different experiments.
