2 The concept presented in four parts will challenge your thinking, so please keep an open mind. There are four stages of learning for a typical adult: Unconscious Incompetence Conscious Incompetence Conscious Competence Unconscious Competence

3 We can’t go forward until we know what’s been holding us back. Identify the things that have been holding you back. What is your business like because of it? And now that you know, what can you do about it?

4 What are some of the ways that you’ve been handicapping yourself?  Making this look difficult Spending hours explaining the products Using lots of science Copying lots of articles Long telephone calls answering every question Files and files of stuff on hand You’re the vitamin woman or man Suggesting “dosages” Other… ……………………………………………………………..

5 The first step in transitioning to selling a business rather than a ‘product,’ is knowing all the benefits your business has to offer. The second step is finding out what your prospect is looking for. It’s all about the person you are talking to. So you need to ask lots of questions to find out what people are looking for. It’s not about convincing or coercing. It’s all about transforming lives by offering solutions to their FEARS, PROBLEMS or DREAMS!

6 Health Financial freedom Less stress Timed with loved ones and friends Time for fun Extra money School tuition New home New car New friends Self esteem Feeling like you’re part of something Holidays Tax advantages New location Chance to “be” something Chance to “make a difference” Job security Being around positive people These include, but are not limited to:

7 When aware of what your business offers – almost everyone becomes a potential prospect. When tuned in to finding business builders, you’ll know it. You’ll hear things others don’t. You can “package your gift” by focusing on what’s most important to your prospect. The key is LISTENING! The key is HONORING PEOPLE! Peak their interest – always using the following words: “I don’t know if this is for you or not, but I have something here that may interest you.”

8 Who you are ‘being’ will attract the same type of people. We’re like human magnets! Essentially people are buying you! The easier you make this seem, the more likely they’ll want to do it!

9 So, if you plant ‘product’ seeds, what do you get? CUSTOMERS If you plant ‘business’ seeds, what do you get? LEADERS If you plant ‘big picture’ seeds, what do you get? ENTREPRENEURS

10 What kind of seeds do you want to plant? Hopefully as big a picture as possible!! (because that’s what 4Life Business is!)

11 ACTIVITY: List some things that have been “handicapping” you, and how you can change. Make note of the “new” conversations you have with people. Notice how the conversation starts and where it goes. (Just observe. You may want to make notes afterwards about what you discover.)
