Sight Word Practice – Please practice your sight words, these are words that the kids need to know immediately on sight. By the end of the year your child must know how to read and write these words. Here are some fun ideas to help you practice. * Write them on index cards, place wax paper over them and trace with glue, cover with glitter, sand, noodles, etc. * Make two copies on index cards & play memory * Put shaving cream in the kitchen sink & write the words. * Play “hide & seek” – hide some cards around the house and tell your child which word to find (like an Easter Egg hunt). * Use water and a paint brush or Q-tip and write the words with water on kitchen counter. Over the River – All of the Kindergarten students will be performing our rendition of Over the River on Nov. 24 th. Make plans to come and enjoy the show. Sunglasses – everyone needs to bring in a pair of sunglasses – but it is a secret – we can’t tell you why. Dates to Remember on back.

A Note from Mrs. Bates, our Principal: Reminders About Car Circle Drop off/Pick up and Walk-in: * Morning Drop Off in Car Circle: 7:30 am Continue to create two lines entering the car circle. Continue to merge into one line to drop off students. Pull your vehicle all the way around the side walk to drop off students. This will allow 7-8 students to exit cars at one time. Pull to the yellow marked area if you have to wait, buckle, or unbuckle. * Morning Walk-Ins – 7:30 am Park in spaces in front of school Sign in Wait in lobby until 7:55 am and then go to rooms *Those who need to eat breakfast may go to the cafeteria. * Safety Issues Do not allow students to exit the car from the left side- cars could have dropped off before you and will be exiting the car circle causing a safety hazard. Do not drop students off in the bus lane Do not allow students to walk across the bus lane unattended * Tardies: At the elementary level, all students must be walked in and signed in by an adult.
