Mini Project Guidelines & Evaluation
2
Project Objectives This mini project objective is to create a complete and working interactive web-based / disc-based multimedia system advertisement. This project, if done well, will help your group and yourself gain knowledge and insight of working in a multimedia production group and also enhance your skill and abilities as a multimedia designer and producer. Each group will consist of max 4 members.
3
The multimedia system you create : shall be made using Macromedia Director among other things, will be graded based upon design, creativity, originality, content, applicability, versatility, functionality and whether or not, it is successful in conveying its message effectively. must be in good English Once completed, must be handed in ONE Disc only (CD- ROM/DVD-ROM), COMPLETE with the source files/code, standalone executable file(projector) and other building materials.
4
Documentation / Report Project documentation in the form of an MS Word file (doc) must be included in the CD. The document must contain at least the following. Gantt Chart (Schedule) Group Progress Report (Compiled Together) Task Breakdown Of Individual Group Members Introduction Methodology (System Design - all the steps taken and stages involved- Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) Conclusion References (*remember, do not plagiarize or copy content; if you must, cite and reword whatever is absolutely necessary) Appendix (Pictures, Screenshots, Storyboards etc.)
5
Additional Info This document will be graded together with your multimedia system. All group members must contribute (as far as possible) equally. If any group members are reported to be 'freeloading', they will be tested on the progress and content of the project to determine whether or not they have been contributing and participating actively. Guilty members will lose anywhere between 10%-90% of the total marks which all the other members attain.
6
Additional Info So, every member must fully know what is going on with their project at all times. Groups might be required to briefly present their work in the lab or in my office towards the end of the semester. So be prepared. You may come and see me with your projects at any point for guidance and advice. There will be a presentation of your project during the last week of lectures
