2. What is the history of Thanksgiving? ► The First Thanksgiving was celebrated to give thanks to God for helping the pilgrims survive the brutal winter. The first Thanksgiving feast lasted three days providing enough food for 53 pilgrims and 90 Indians. The traditional Thanksgiving menu often features turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie.

3. When ► Starting of at the fourth Thursday in November by law in 1941, the holiday in the United States can happen on any date from November 22 to November 28. When it falls on November 22 or 23, it is not the last Thursday, but the penultimate Thursday in November.

4. ► Many people celebrate Thanksgiving by having large feasts with family and friends, and praising God for their wellbeing. How do we celebrate?

5. Tradition ► It is a tradition for some families to have a Thanksgiving day menu of turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie.

6. What do you like the most about Thanksgiving? ► What I like most about thanksgiving is that it brings families closer together.
