Jose Hernandez was born on August 7, 1962, at French Camp, California. He Is now 51 years old. This is the official sign of the location of French Camp.

Jose Hernandez Video In 2004 he became a NASA Astronaut for the Space Shuttle Program. In 1984 he graduated at University of the Pacific.

Jose Hernandez was the first Hispanic-American to go to the moon in American History.

He didn’t learn English until he was 12 years old.

When he was 12 years old, he heard that someone went to the moon. He wanted to do that.

Jose Hernandez is proud to be the first Hispanic- American to ever be on the Moon!
