How people have shaped the world Why people settled where they did and not other places Movement of people, ideas, and goods

Human/Environment Interactions shows how people and the environment they live in effect the way they live. Ex. East Arkansas the delta land has farmers because of the land Ex. Maine has many careers in sea fish

Helps the understanding of the relationship between people, places, & environment. Knowledge and understanding of geography prepares you for life in our modern society.
