STOCK BROKERAGE A STOCK is a unit of ownership in a company. UAP FS helps companies and individuals to buy or sell shares across the East African region. ONE CAN MAKE MONEY IN SHARES IN TWO MAJOR WAYS Appreciation in value (Capital Gains) Dividend income THE AMOUNT OF RETURN ONE EARNS ON AN INVESTMENT IN SHARES DEPENDS ON: How much profit the company makes The dividends declared How many shares one owns WHY INVEST IN STOCKS Investment in shares does not require close supervision than would be the case with operating a business Shares in most cases are a good hedge against inflation since returns on investment in shares typically exceed the rate of inflation It is relatively easy to buy and sell shares than other investments like land or even a business Price and market information on shares is easy to find in the main media (i. e. web, radio, print and broadcast)
